Our Statement of Faith
We believe that there is one true eternal creator God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one (Deut. 6:4).
For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5).
God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” (John 4:24).
We believe the Holy Scriptures (Old & New Testaments) to be the verbally inspired word of God, the final authority for faith and life, inerrant in the original writings, infallible, and God-breathed (Matthew 5:18)
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16).
We believe humans are created beings, made in the likeness and image of God. Through Adam’s transgression and fall, sin came into the world, and death was the result. Consequently, every person remains spiritually dead and separated from God, until delivered by the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous. (Romans 5:19).
We believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to a relationship with God; only through faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ and repentance from sin can one be reconciled to God and experience true life now and forevermore. (John 3:16-18, 14:6, Acts 4:12, Romans 10:9-10).
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).
We believe that the church is the body and espoused bride of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The members of the church are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ.
The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving him and by making him known to the lost world. (Ephesians 5:25-27; 1 Cor. 12:12- 14).
And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way (Ephesians 1:22-23).
- we believe that the covenant of marriage was instituted by God, a union of a man and a woman who have voluntarily entered into a loving, committed and exclusive relationship for as long as both live.
We further believe that the relationship between a husband and wife should parallel the relationship between Christ and the church. (Ephesians 5:22-33).
So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them. Male and female He created them (Genesis 1:27).
We believe Water Baptism and the Lord’s Supper were instituted by our Lord, Jesus Christ. We believe in Water Baptism by immersion, a testimony of death to sin and resurrection to life.
We further believe that the Lord’s Supper is exclusively reserved for believers, remembering the death of Jesus Christ and announcing His finished work.
Having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead (Col. 2:12).
